The new general education curriculum geography history curriculum includes a variety of engaging and rewarding learning content to help students gain knowledge of global history and geography.
1. What is the general education program?
The new General Education (GDPT) program is divided into two phases: the basic education phase (from grades 1 to 9) and the stage of career-oriented education (from grades 10 to 12). It is implemented in accordance with Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 88/2014/QH13.
Regarding educational goals, the new General Education Program continues to be built on the view that the goal of General Education is to educate all-round people, helping students to develop fully in moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic aspects. With the motto of education, the new General Education Program inherits the basic educational principles such as “Learning with practice”, “Theory associated with practice”, and “Education at school combines with education”. in the family and in society”.
The educational content of the new GDT Program has been updated in line with the progress of science and technology, as well as meeting the new orientation of the program. However, the basic content of the subjects remains the same and focuses on the core knowledge, which is relatively stable in the fields of human knowledge, inherited from the current General Education Program.
The teaching time in the new General Education Program has been reduced compared to the current program, but the correlations in teaching time between subjects are not disturbed. However, the new Program adds a number of new educational activities and subjects, helping students to have more diverse and enriching educational experiences in the learning process.
2. Objectives of the lesson:
